LBBC is hiring a Manager, Individual Giving who will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s annual giving program. This position bridges the gap between broad-based annual fund supporters and major donors, providing personalized engagement, stewardship, and solicitation strategies to deepen donor commitment and increase giving levels over time. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing relationships with individual donors and in building a monthly giving program.
LBBC is headquartered just outside Philadelphia in Bala Cynwyd, PA and is a hybrid workplace. Candidates must be based in the Greater Philadelphia region and be able to work from our office several days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 100-150 mid-level donors and prospects giving in the range of $1,000 - $2,500 annually.
- Manage a portfolio of individual donors who give recurring gifts.
- Develop tailored cultivation and stewardship plans aligned with donor interests and giving capacity.
- Conduct personalized outreach via calls, emails, letters, and virtual or in-person meetings to build meaningful relationships with donors.
Fundraising and Solicitation
- Collaborate with LBBC’s Development Team to identify mid-level donors ready for major gift cultivation.
- Solicit renewal and increased gifts through direct asks, appeals, and campaigns.
- Partner with marketing/communications staff to create effective messaging and materials that resonate with donors at different levels.
- Hold responsibility for building LBBC’s recurring (monthly) donor program. Develop and implement strategies that will improve acquisition, retention, and increased contributions through this program.
- Work with other fundraising staff to identify donors ready for major gift cultivation.
Stewardship and Engagement
- Ensure timely and personalized acknowledgement of all gifts.
- Coordinate stewardship touchpoints such as impact reports, special updates and events.
- Track donor interactions and progress in Raiser’s Edge NXT, LBBC’s CRM system, to inform strategies and measure outcomes.
Collaboration and Program Growth
- Work closely with staff across LBBC to integrate donor engagement strategies.
- Contribute to the design and execution of campaigns aimed at mid-level giving growth.
- Participate in donor events and other outreach initiatives to cultivate relationships.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 3-5 years of fundraising experience, preferably in individual giving or donor relations.
- Demonstrated success managing donor relationships and meeting fundraising goals.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge NXT) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of donor pipeline development, monthly giving and moves management strategies.
- Comfort with donor analytics and data-driven decision making.
- Experience in the nonprofit or healthcare sector (preferably in organizations serving women’s or health-related causes.
- Relationship-oriented and empathetic communicator.
- Results-driven and detail oriented, with a commitment to donor satisfaction.
- Passion for health-related matters, patient advocacy, and/or oncology, a plus.
COMPENSATION
The salary range begins at $70,000 per year. LBBC offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
