LBBC is hiring a Director, Educational Programs who will spearhead the development, execution, and evaluation of all educational initiatives. LBBC offers conferences and webinars to members of our community, including those living with a breast cancer diagnosis, their caregivers, and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the science of breast cancer (diagnosis, treatment/innovations in treatment, testing), public health, educational program design, and the science of breast cancer, integrating cutting-edge research and innovation into impactful, evidence-based programming.

LBBC is headquartered just outside Philadelphia in Bala Cynwyd, PA and is a hybrid workplace. The position may be fully remote, but candidates must be able to work within normal business hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time and be able to travel to our office near Philadelphia as required.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Program Strategy

  • Lead the strategic development LBBC’s educational programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and mission.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to program development, utilizing research and feedback to continuously refine and enhance LBBC’s educational offerings.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the science of breast cancer (diagnosis, testing, treatment), both within LBBC and for our constituents.
  • Represent LBBC at regional, national, and international conferences, acting as an ambassador for the organization’s mission and programs.

Educational Program Development

  • Design, develop, and oversee the execution of an innovative and comprehensive educational program portfolio that addresses the diverse needs of LBBC’s constituents.
  • Curate and manage the content and logistics of educational events, including speaker selection, agenda setting, participant targeting, site and technology management, and post-event analysis.
  • Monitor program outcomes through rigorous evaluation methods, identifying opportunities to enhance impact and expand reach.
  • Develop and manage the educational programs budget, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals and maximizing resource efficiency.

Training and Relationship Management

  • Lead the training and professional development of staff, volunteers, and consultants involved in educational programs, fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with healthcare professionals, educators, and donors to support program growth and sustainability.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors and external partners, ensuring high-quality service delivery that supports program objectives.

Educational Program Operations

  • Establish annual and long-term impact goals for educational programs, aligning them with LBBC’s strategic plan.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that ensure the effective and efficient operation of educational programs.
  • Stay informed of trends and innovations in public health/breast cancer education, applying best practices to continually improve LBBC’s programming.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 6-8 year’s relevant experience in public health, education or program development
  • Proven ability to design and implement evidence-based educational programs for adults
  • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling educational programs, particularly within the nonprofit or healthcare sectors
  • Expertise in educational technology, virtual learning environments, and CRM systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in the science of breast cancer, including research and innovation
  • Strong understanding of public health principles and experience applying them to program development
  • Ability to engage with and present to diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and patients
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Open to constructive feedback and committed to implementing new ideas
  • Data-driven decision-making skills
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in team management and development
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed, including travel for events and conferences

SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS

The salary range begins at $90,000 per year. LBBC offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with organizational match, and paid time off.
