LBBC is seeking to hire a Development Coordinator who will provide support across the organization’s fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to all fundraising activities, including the annual gala, appeals, and corporate partnerships. LBBC is a staff of 30 people with a budget of $6 million.


The organization is headquartered just outside Philadelphia in Bala Cynwyd, PA and is a hybrid workplace.  Candidates for this position must be based in the Greater Philadelphia region.


Event support:

  • Support planning, logistics and implementation of large-scale fundraising events including but not limited to The Butterfly Ball, LBBC’s annual gala and an annual Spring grassroots fundraising event.
  • Aid individual volunteer fundraisers by answering questions, helping them set up their fundraising sites via social media or through LBBC’s available software as needed, and provide resources and collaterals as needed for events.
  • Interact with LBBC constituents at fundraising and educational programs to increase awareness of the organization and to develop relationships that can result in increased engagement.

Administrative support:

  • Update and maintain corporate donation database records, internal tracking documents, and sponsorship fulfillment documents.
  • Maintain timelines for various Development Department activities.
  • Support senior staff in preparation for meetings with major donors: compile information from relational database, coordinate meetings, and record contact notes.
  • Assist in maintenance of database records, and when needed, create email campaigns for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the annual Impact Report.

Key Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in a development office of a nonprofit organization or Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in related field
  • Experience using relational databases; experience in Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred
  • Experience in using bulk email software packages
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Mission-driven, self-directed and outgoing individual
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong computer application skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Interest in women’s health issues or oncology
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required. Individuals may claim exemption for medical or religious reasons
