Living Beyond Breast Cancer is seeking to hire a Website Manager to oversee the organization’s website.  LBBC is in the process of redesigning its website and will launch a new WordPress-based site this year.  The organization’s current site is Drupal-based.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting the website and continually improving the user experience (UX) of the site.  We seek a technologist with strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills who has varied experience maintaining websites.

LBBC is headquartered just outside Philadelphia in Bala Cynwyd, PA.  This is a fully remote position that can be based anywhere in the United States, however candidates must be able to work 9am-5pm eastern time and be available for travel several times per year.  Priority will be given to candidates based in the Greater Philadelphia region.

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organization's website, ensuring it is fully operational and inviting to users.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues, security breaches.
  • Conduct content audits to reduce redundant or outdated information.
  • Create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain systems for content updates and publishing process, technical issue notification, etc., and ensure the processes are used consistently by all staff.
  • Work with staff from key departments to inform the maintenance of their website pages in terms of quality, timeliness, and relevance to target audiences.
  • Work with external vendors contracted to own Search Engine Optimization to continue to optimize key website pages and drive overall improvement.
  • Oversee the work of external website developers responsible for site maintenance and larger site improvements.
  • Help share and make meaning of website metrics (e.g., Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Work with key staff to ensure continuity of experience and integration between the website and Luminate, the organization’s primary database platform, and other online tools (Optin Monster, etc.).
  • Provide ongoing training and support for staff who regularly update content on the website.
  • Maintain domain registrations and hosting contracts for all organizational sites.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.
  • Participate in internal work teams to carry out special projects, including but not limited to website and database projects.
  • Assist in expense tracking and budget management.

Key Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science, IT, marketing, web design, or related qualifications
  • 2 years or more of work experience as a website manager
  • Proficient in HTML, and experience managing content in CMS platforms (WordPress and Drupal)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, online marketing software (Luminate, Teamraiser), project management software (Basecamp preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Fantastic project management, time management, and communications skills
  • Great understanding of UX, SEO, Google Analytics, and Pay Per Click
  • Experience coordinating with external consultants, such as agencies, writers, and graphic designers
  • Photo and/or video editing abilities a major plus
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Words and/or Google Grants a plus
  • Interest in women’s health and medicine a plus
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required. Individuals may claim exemption for medical or religious reasons

 

Salary Range and Benefits:  Salary range begins at $60,000 per yearLBBC offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
